I have been a homeowner and gardener for many years. Joanne at Vignette Landscape Designs is the most talented and creative garden person I’ve known. Her knowledge of plant material is extraordinary. Her sense of color and design is imaginative as well as practical. Joanne’s work is highly professional, cost-effective, and timely. My Denver garden could not be more joyous for me and my family! In addition, Joanne is a delightful person to work with.

Our family had a yard we simply did not use. We moved into a corner lot home hoping that it would provide us with more of an outdoor area but because of some poor design decisions, we hadn’t been able to take advantage of the extra real estate. When Joanne Venable from Vignette came to look at our space, we were surprised at how many ideas she had for us. With some simple changes – from taking out bushes to open up a corner of our garden to create a simple patio and fire pit – Vignette gave us an extra outdoor “room” we hadn’t been able to experience since we moved in. Additionally, we’ve never known the kinds of plants and flowers that could thrive in the type of sunlight our house gets, nor did we have any idea which trees would provide the most impact without overtaking our garden over the years. Fortunately for us, Vignette knows their stuff! We couldn’t be happier with their work and aesthetic and would recommend them to everyone we know.

“Wonderful experience! “
Our backyard needed a lot of help to be a place in which we could spend time and Joanne helped us turn our few ideas into many better ideas and then into a beautiful backyard oasis reality. Joanne worked with us to decide what was important, what was in budget, and what would work best for our space. We had some obstacles to work around (steep grading, a patio that had been put in previously, etc.) but she was able to deliver an awesome landscaping plan and coordinate the timely implementation with reasonable cost. Our backyard, which used to be burned grass, river rock and weeds is now a perennial garden with shade trees, stepping stones, and garden boxes. We could not have done better than working with Vignette Landscape Design.

Vignette did a wonderful job with enhancing our front garden box so that it really looks lovely! Also revitalized our rear garden and I am looking forward to working with Vignette on the side rock gardens and adding more flowers/plants to the rear gardens next spring.

We loved working with Joanne in creating our beautiful backyard, which includes gorgeous landscaping, trellis for privacy, a deck, and a peaceful fountain. The space is small with awkward lighting, but Joanne designed a cohesive, beautiful, relaxing space with the appropriate plants for shade and sun.

I first started using Vignette when needing to change out my window boxes on my front porch from season to season. Joanne has such a great sense of style (she’s from Boston) which made me feel like I didn’t have to spend any time researching ideas on Pinterest. Neighbors now tell me they look forward to seeing the flowers on their walks and are excited to see the new ones for the next season. I now am using her services for a complete overhaul of our backyard which also involves hardscape and new infrastructure. Since she is very technical and has such great taste (she could easily be an interior designer in my opinion), choosing Joanne was no-brainer. She’s extremely professional so the planning process has been very easy.
